Customer story

Roasting Warehouse is an established name in Melbourne’s specialty coffee scene, built on three generations of family hospitality. From its beginnings as a North Melbourne micro-roastery, it has grown into a coffee business with cafés across Australia and a café-roastery in Athens, bringing its Melbourne coffee roots to an international audience.
The problem
Roasting Warehouse had strong local and branded search visibility in Melbourne and across Victoria, but its broader national reach was limited. As the business expanded across Australia and into Greece, its priorities shifted towards national and global markets. Its search presence needed to catch up, reaching buyers who were searching for great coffee rather than the Roasting Warehouse name.
Those shoppers were searching differently. They wanted to know which beans to buy, how to make better coffee at home, and what separated one roaster from another. Winning their attention meant showing up with useful answers and a clear reason to choose Roasting Warehouse.
One of our biggest opportunities is definitely articulating why Roasting Warehouse is different, rather than assuming people already know.
Gyrify connected that positioning challenge with the work needed to act on it: search research, educational content, a more flexible Shopify site and a practical marketing roadmap.
Before / After
Before: Strong local and branded visibility in Melbourne and Victoria, with limited discovery among coffee buyers searching nationally.
After: Nine published articles helped extend the brand into national coffee searches. Two guides ranked for 20 non-branded terms, including two top-ten positions. Across the blog, organic search clicks more than tripled month over month.

KEEP THE WORK MOVINGSolution
Gyrify focused the content on searches that could introduce Roasting Warehouse to a wider audience. A person comparing the best coffee beans in Australia is already interested in the category. A useful guide gives the brand a way into that conversation.
The flagship article, “Best Coffee Beans in Australia: A Specialty Roaster’s Guide,” did exactly that. Alongside a guide to making coffee at home, it helped the business appear for broader, non-branded searches. The content answered a real shopper question while giving Roasting Warehouse room to explain its perspective as a specialty roaster.
Behind the articles was a wider foundation: keyword and competitor research, technical SEO groundwork, site-architecture mapping and a sequenced growth plan. The team received practical resources to keep publishing and understand how the work was performing.
The Shopify work supported the same goal. Product-category organisation made the range easier to navigate. A three-step subscription section explained the offer. The Procaffé layout, wholesale enquiry navigation and location pages were reworked, and custom areas became editable theme sections.
Together, the work connected discovery with the online shop. Search content created more ways to arrive; clearer site content and a more flexible storefront supported what happened next.

Results
Organic clicks to the blog grew 213% month over month, while search impressions increased 266%. The content programme was giving Roasting Warehouse a broader search presence alongside the local and branded searches it already served.
The flagship coffee-beans guide generated 13,020 search impressions and 183 organic clicks. Two guides ranked for 20 non-branded terms, including top-ten positions for “top 10 coffee beans australia” and “the best coffee bean.”
Readers followed that visibility onto the site. Across the nine published article pages, Roasting Warehouse attracted 406 views from 322 users. The flagship guide accounted for 295 views from 245 users, making it a clear starting point for further content development.
For the business, the shift was meaningful: its search presence could introduce the brand to people still deciding what coffee to buy. The articles, website work and execution plan gave the team something it could continue building on.
Measurement notes: Monthly growth compares June with July 2026 across the whole blog, including existing content. The flagship guide figures are the cumulative snapshot in the 13 August report, not a one-month result.
